• Common wallpaper mistakes to avoid

  • Not enough paste on the edges of wallpaper when seaming, or the wrong type of paste altogether

  • A high room temperature, which can cause paste to dry too quickly

  • Insufficient wall surface preparation such as not sealing or applying sizing

  • Streaks on the surface after application, usually from excess paste

  • Gaps between pieces if butting and seaming was not done carefully

  • Bubbling or blistering if wallpaper was not smoothed properly
